Most of us weren’t taught how to navigate the big feelings that come with loss. So how are we supposed to guide the kids and teens in our lives to support a peer through loss? Here’s the good news: these are learnable skills. By normalizing the big feelings that come with loss and teaching kids how to support their peers through tough times, you can have a major impact on the young people in your life.

explore differences between child grief and adult grief
describe how you can coach and model healthy coping and relational skills
share strategies for how you can guide the young people in your life to offer meaningful support to their peers
